The people who willfully and with evil design want to create obstructions in our otherwise peaceful living, on the path of progress, or plot against us are called our enemies; and the state of the relationship between them is called enmity.
Enemy and enmity are so common words in our life that everyone understands their meaning and the harms they can do with us. The objective of writing this blog is how to foretell a possibility of enmity (if any) in a horoscope and in case the possibility of enmity arises/exists, then spot the area of enmity and the people with whom the enmity will evolve.
Measuring the extent of harms or damage and the kind of harms, whether mental, material and or both types are also needed to be foretold by an astrologer. Sometimes the enmity brings victory and gains and sometimes very painful mental anxieties and trauma as well as material loss. In a horoscope, the enmity angle is checked through the 6th and 3rd houses and their lords. The 6th house is the house of the enemy, enmity and obstruction, split, isolation, dissolution, and repulsion. The 3rd house being the 10th house from the 6th house, it tells us about the intensity and extent of the implication of the enmity.
The 12 house also indicates our enemies. The difference between the 6th and the 12 houses is that the 6th house tells us about the known enemies – the open enemies: the enemies whom we know and the 12 house the hidden enemies; we do not know them.
The planet/s occupying the 6th house signal enmity and the houses the planet/planets they own indicate the cause of enmity. Suppose Lagna is Scorpio and Saturn is occupying the 6th house, in its debilitation sign, Aries.
For the Scorpio Lagna, Saturn owns 3rd and 4th houses. Here, this position of Saturn indicates conflicts with younger siblings for land and property. To judge the 6th house related matters the following formula is followed for systematic judgment:-
1) The planet occupying the 6th house (as discussed in the above paragraph.
2) The house occupied by the lord of the 6th house.
3) The house the 6th lord is aspecting to.
4) The house/houses lords with which the 6th house lord is conjoined with.
5) The planet/planets aspecting the 6th house and the houses they own.
6) The planet/s with Nakshatra of which lord is the lord of 6th house.
If the above houses and planets are somehow linked with 8th/12th house or the houses and their lords then the possibility of evolving the situation of enmity is presaged. And in case this position is somehow linked with the Lagna or Lagna Lord, the evolution of enmity is conformed.
A very, very important point to bear in mind is that involvement of only the 6th house (not the 8th and/or 12th house/house) means evolution of enmity because of one’s Tamas/Tamasic tendencies such as priggishness, avarice, and cupidity and therefore not of a serious nature.
But when the 6th house or/ and its lord is/are connected with 8th or/and 12th house/houses and lord/lords then this denotes a serious kind of enmity; connection with the 8th house or its lord indicates a kind of danger, menace, threat, defamation or scandal, and with the 12 house or/and its lord means loss of money, deterioration of position, and mental agony.
Occupation of the 6th house by malefic planet/planets (Rahu, Ketu, Saturn, Mars, and Sun; especially the first three planets) creates a yoga of routing enemies which on the other hand means first creating enemy/enemies and thereafter destroying them. On the other hand, placement Rahu in the 8th creates fuss and mess, Ketu anxieties and mental agony and Saturn a mental state of hopelessness and depression because of enmity.
The intensity of enmity will be more if the 3rd house is afflicted by an enemy planet(s) and/or its lord is conjoined with an enemy planet or posited in the 6th/8th/12 house. If the 3rd house and its lord are strong and the lord is posited in its own house or sign or in the Kendra or Trikona then the intensity of the enmity will not be more.
