The following are a few of them: –
Panch-Mahapurush Yogas: – The literal meaning of ‘Panch-Mahapurush’ is the five great personalities. This means that presence of this Yoga (at least one Yoga) endows great personality to the native. This Panch-Mahapurush Yoga does not mean one yoga; it denotes five yogas formed separately by five planets: Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn.

1) Ruchaka Yoga: – This yoga is formed by the special placement of Mars in the natal birth chart. When Mars occupies a quadrant house (Kendra) in Capricorn or Aries or Scorpio this yoga is formed. This Yoga bestows best result to the Aries, Cancer, Leo, and Scorpio because Mars is functional benefic for these ascendants. The native of this yoga will a robust physique. He is assertive, aggressive, and arrogant but possesses generous disposition and straightforward attitude. Such natives become great leaders and acquire immense wealth, great name and fame. The area of leadership is determined by the house and sign placement of Mars.

2) Bhadra Yoga: – Mercury forms this yoga. When Mercury occupies a quadrant (Kendra) house in the Virgo or Gemini sign, Bhadra Yoga is formed. To get better results Mercury should not be aspected by the lords of 6th, 8th or 12 house/houses. The native born in this yoga is highly intelligent and learned, diplomatic, wealthy, methodical and organized in work, jovial, liberal and witty. He will have good name and fame. However, this is generalized forecast not individualized. To speak specifically, study of the horoscope in totality is a must. Nonetheless, it can be said with conformity that a native with Bhadra yoga will live a very good life!

3) Hamsa Yoga: – Hamsa Yoga is formed when Jupiter occupies any one of the quadrants (kendras) in Sagittarius or Pisces or cancer. A native born in Hamsa yoga will have a well-built, well-formed and attractive body. He will be noble, wise, learned, principled and generous. He will have sufficient wealth and fame for his knowledge and wisdom.

4) Malavya Yoga: – For the formation of this yoga Venus should occupy any of the quadrant (Kendra) houses in Taurus, Libra or Pisces. Malavya yoga gives best results when Capricorn and Aquarius are ascendants because Venus is functional benefic for these ascendants. Moreover, Venus must not be afflicted by the functional malefic planets. The natives will have attractive body, charming personality and good character. They will enjoy worldly pleasure. Such natives will be blessed with good spouse and children and name, fame, money and wealth.

5) Shasha Yoga: – Saturn forms this yoga when it occupies any of the quadrant houses in Capricorn, Aquarius or Libra. This yoga will give more favourable results to Aries, Taurus, Libra, Capricorn and Aquarius ascendants (Lagna) because Saturn is a functional benefic for these ascendants and Saturn is not afflicted by the lord/lords of the 6th, 8th or 12 house.

The native born in the Shasha Yoga will be blessed with immense wealth, money, power, position, enviable status in the society, and fame. He/she will be calm, cool, composed, and reserved. Their views are grounded to the realistic world. Some astrologers opine that the native may have somewhat wicked disposition.
